![]() ![]() This Ibanez JSM100was built during 2009 by the Team J Craft group at Fuji-Gen. This combination provides a bit more mass, sustain and clarity but not as much as some other similar Ibanez models with heavier bridges – on those, the added sustain can overwhelm some of the subtle characteristics of the guitar’s wood. The tuners are excellent Gotoh 510 models, with a Gotoh 510BN bride and Gotoh GE101A quick-change tailpiece. The electronics include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 Alnico passive pickups through a standard switching and individual volume and tone control layout. Decoration is similar to other Ibanez models in this range hardware is gold plated, and the inlays include a mix of Abalone and Acrylic for the block markers on the bound, compound radius fingerboard. The center block is Maple, as is the neck, which has an Ebony fingerboard. The body, instead of using Maple laminate, uses figured Anigre, an African hardwood, for the laminate. The Ibanez JSM100 uses the same construction concept as other ES models, but the wood choice is a bit different. Built on the classic ES Thinline semi-solid platform, the Ibanez JSM100 John Scofield Model signature guitar is a top quality, versatile instrument, at the top of the JSM range. ![]()
